Last week I began having some tachycardia (rapid heartbeat) issues. Of course this happens on the day the weather was super yucky and they were calling for sleet and ice. Oh great I thought, I'm stuck out here in the middle of the woods with my little bitty PT Cruiser. I called my Cardiologist and he made an appointment for the next day. Somehow, it must be God's grace, my husband managed to get off work, which never happens, to take me. By the time my appointment hit though the bad weather had passed through not leaving much on the roads.
So the cardio sent me home with this event recorder. If it wasn't stuck to me 24 hours a day, I might actually think this little thing was pretty darn cool. I have two leads, attached to me with those annoying little sticky pads, that monitor my heart rate all the time. If I feel weird or my heart starts racing I just push the record button. It records up to 5 times and then I can call my doctor and put it up to the phone and the nurse records it on the other end. I cannot begin to express how much better this is than being stuck in the hospital for who knows how long to be monitored! God is so good to me. Even in these stressful situations, He knows just what I need. Right now, I need to be at home with my guys.

So on Thursday I go back and they will take this monitor and hook me up to a holster monitor, which will monitor and record everything my heart does for 24 hours. I get the results back on the 12th, so please keep all this in your prayers. If there are complications, this will have a toll on Brayden and his school schedule. It breaks my heart for him to have to miss as he loves it SO much. He has been asking almost everyday of the whole Christmas break when school is going to start again!
Please continue praying over little Asher as he is thriving and doing so well! I am 32 weeks today. It is starting to sink in that if things are not going well, he may come anytime in February! Crazy! On a lighter note, I set up his nursery this weekend. Brian's company is moving us about 3 miles down the road sometime this spring so I had been holding off. But the nesting bug took over and I couldn't resist. I've been trying to get some pictures but the dreary weather makes for bad lighting. Please pray that whatever happens, to God be the glory. He is the Great Physician and Healer of all hearts.
Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His holy name.
Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And forget none of His benefits;
Who pardons all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases;
Who redeems your life from the pit,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion
And all that is within me, bless His holy name.
Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And forget none of His benefits;
Who pardons all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases;
Who redeems your life from the pit,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion
