My beautiful shower! Part 1

So I only have a few pictures to share because I haven't gotten the pictures off of my mom's camera yet! oops! My girlfriends threw me a very beautiful shower this last Saturday. We are very blessed to have such an amazing group of people that care about us.

So I'm WAY behind on my updating!

So I haven't really felt like blogging much lately. You'll have to excuse me but I'll try to put it back on my to-do list with the 500 other things I've been neglecting lately! =) So I went for my follow up appointment at the cardio last week. He confirmed my tachycardia and put me on a low dose of meds to slow my heart rate until this little guy is born.

Yesterday I went to see my ob. He said I look good for where I am right now. Not much swelling, perfect blood pressure, and no shortness of breath!

***Praise the Lord and Thanks to all the amazing people praying for us.***

He said that had it not been for my history, the cardio probably wouldn't have even medicated me for the tachycardia, although I think he made the right call because I can tell when it's past time to take my meds. Quite honestly the tachycardia wears me out and I need no help in that department now days.

But... My OB says that at this point we are "walking on eggshells" Although I'm doing great, it could change very quickly. Which means he wants to go ahead and schedule my csection for 38 weeks. I am very excited but it's hitting me how close we're getting! Ahh and the thought of surgery again kind of freaks me out. Brian thinks I'm being crazy and I should have a "been there done that" kind of mentality about it. Yeah "been there done that" is what's freaking me out! Ha! So sometime soon I should know an exact date and time. As of right now I know it will be either the 15th or 16th of February. The cake topper is that we are moving sometime between now and then.... I may need lots of prayer over that one, I can barely tie my shoes now days!

Flash Back Friday

Inspired by my friend Vanessa @ Good Times Delgado Style I decided to do a flash back Friday.

Brayden is 29 minutes old in this picture! I could just squeeze his little cheeks through the computer! Brian is holding him and if you look in the background you can see me still all hooked up to the monitors.

Enjoy!

It's a good possibility I've gone insane

So we have officially decided to cloth diaper little baby Asher. And I say "we" because somehow I have managed to get my hubby on board with this. This is amazing because he is a very hands on dad. I imagine he changed about 90% of the diapers, after he was home from work, with Brayden.

The weirdest thing is how excited about it I am. I must be going crazy but for now I'll chalk it up to hormones. I just can't wait for my little guy to get here! I registered at an online cloth diaper store and I ordered my first batch of diapers today. A dozen Green Mountain Organic prefolds and an orange bummi cover.

Stock picture from the website...
Now how cute is that going to look on my little guys bum!

And now if I could only figure out how to make these little things I'd be in heaven!
My husband thinks I've been abducted by aliens by the way. He told me the other day "You are definitely a momma now!"

Monitors, Wires, and Stickies...Oh my!

Last week I began having some tachycardia (rapid heartbeat) issues. Of course this happens on the day the weather was super yucky and they were calling for sleet and ice. Oh great I thought, I'm stuck out here in the middle of the woods with my little bitty PT Cruiser. I called my Cardiologist and he made an appointment for the next day. Somehow, it must be God's grace, my husband managed to get off work, which never happens, to take me. By the time my appointment hit though the bad weather had passed through not leaving much on the roads.

So the cardio sent me home with this event recorder. If it wasn't stuck to me 24 hours a day, I might actually think this little thing was pretty darn cool. I have two leads, attached to me with those annoying little sticky pads, that monitor my heart rate all the time. If I feel weird or my heart starts racing I just push the record button. It records up to 5 times and then I can call my doctor and put it up to the phone and the nurse records it on the other end. I cannot begin to express how much better this is than being stuck in the hospital for who knows how long to be monitored! God is so good to me. Even in these stressful situations, He knows just what I need. Right now, I need to be at home with my guys.

So on Thursday I go back and they will take this monitor and hook me up to a holster monitor, which will monitor and record everything my heart does for 24 hours. I get the results back on the 12th, so please keep all this in your prayers. If there are complications, this will have a toll on Brayden and his school schedule. It breaks my heart for him to have to miss as he loves it SO much. He has been asking almost everyday of the whole Christmas break when school is going to start again!

Please continue praying over little Asher as he is thriving and doing so well! I am 32 weeks today. It is starting to sink in that if things are not going well, he may come anytime in February! Crazy! On a lighter note, I set up his nursery this weekend. Brian's company is moving us about 3 miles down the road sometime this spring so I had been holding off. But the nesting bug took over and I couldn't resist. I've been trying to get some pictures but the dreary weather makes for bad lighting. Please pray that whatever happens, to God be the glory. He is the Great Physician and Healer of all hearts.

Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His holy name.
Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And forget none of His benefits;
Who pardons all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases;
Who redeems your life from the pit,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion
Psalm 103:1-4
